Cookie Policy

Last updated: 18 May 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar storage technologies ASSOCIANOVA (a brand of Maxqlabs BV) uses on www.associanova.com, why we use them, and how you can control them. For broader information about how we handle personal data, see our Privacy Policy.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by the websites you visit. They are widely used to make sites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide information to site owners. "Similar technologies" includes browser local storage and session storage, which we treat the same way as cookies for the purpose of this policy.

2. How does our consent work?

When you first visit this site we ask you to choose between accepting all cookies or rejecting non-essential ones. Until you accept, no analytics cookies are set or read. We use Google Consent Mode v2 to enforce this technically: by default all analytics signals are set to denied, and they are flipped to granted only after you click "Accept all".

You can change your mind anytime by reopening the banner:

3. What cookies do we use?

Essential (always active)

These are strictly necessary for the site to work. They do not require consent under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive (as transposed into Belgian law).

NameTypePurposeRetention
associanova-consent-v1 localStorage Remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again on every page load. Until you clear browser storage or click "Cookie settings" to change your choice.

Analytics (only with your consent)

Set by Google Analytics 4 to measure how visitors use the site in aggregate. Used to understand which pages are useful, where visitors come from, and how the site performs. We do not use these cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking. IP addresses are not logged or stored by Google Analytics 4 — they are used only transiently to derive coarse location and then discarded.

NameProviderPurposeRetention
_ga Google Analytics Distinguishes unique visitors with a randomised ID. 2 years
_ga_0JRS1ZL313 Google Analytics Maintains session state for our specific GA4 property. 2 years

Google's full description of the cookies it sets is available at policies.google.com/technologies/cookies. Google's privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

4. What if I reject?

The site continues to work exactly the same. We simply don't collect aggregate usage statistics. No persistent identifiers are stored on your device beyond the consent record itself.

5. Controlling cookies through your browser

On top of our banner, most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Doing so may impact parts of any site you visit. Instructions:

You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all sites by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on.

6. Changes to this policy

If we add new cookies or change which categories we use, we'll update this page and reset the consent banner so you can review your choice. The "Last updated" date above shows when the policy was last revised.
